The Powered Anode Product Preserver System is used as a replacement for sacrificial anodes that come as industry standard equipment on tank-style heaters. It is made of titanium and mixed metal oxide so it will never be depleted unlike traditional sacrificial anodes. This latest technology is normally shipped with residential, commercial, gas or electric water heaters that are 30 to 120 gallons. Powered Anode allows the system to quickly adjust to local water conditions and provides the proper level of corrosion protection for the water heater tank. It also prevents the sulfates in the water from reacting with the anode in the water heater. Otherwise, it will create hydrogen sulfide which will be the cause of smelly water issues such as rotten egg or sulfur like smell.
